all the way to the garden state
This time of year it’s easy to let your pretty spring-time garden go to waste… It’s hot, dry and you’re undoubtedly a bit too busy to stop and potter around amongst the roses and such. I grew some basil, tomatoes, carrots and roses at the first hint of spring this year (in an excited sunshine-induced flap) but unfortunately, in this last week or so (due to baking hot sun and lack of watering), they’ve met an untimely end. Oops!
So, I think it’s time to show our gardens a little more love (and water…), and what’s got me really inspired and excited about my little plot of earth again are these adorable tools by Wild & Wolf (in collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum in London):

Wild and Wolf Garden Tools, $35 per tool or $65 per pair
These “pretty useful tools” come in three classic William Morris prints: the Anenome, Daisy and Cray patterns are taken from a volume of wallpapers housed in the Victoria and Albert Musuem. The various herbaceous prints are a botanical delight. And hey, even if your flowers die, at least you’ll have these pretty utensils to look at!
