pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue…
Only 3 sleeps to go! Yippee! Us shop-pigeons have gift wrapping on the brain at the moment, so (in the festive spirit of sharing) we thought we’d divulge a few of the best eco-friendly wrapping ideas we’ve come across lately…
First of all, you could wrap your gift up with a pretty scarf: not only will it save you from dealing with sticky tape rolls (just tie the scarf into a bow to hold it all together), but the lucky gift recipient will also get an extra gift!

If you’re giving a kitchen/baking-related gift (or even if you’re not…) you could use a tea towel as the wrapping…

Very sweet and super-functional! We have a range of scarves and tea towels at our Shafto Lane store if this style of wrapping tickles your fancy.
Now, if wrapping PAPER is the name of your game, you should have a go at recycling some of the printed paper you’re bound to have tucked away somewhere. Use a page from last year’s Street Directory:

If you’re being very clever, you can pick the map where your gift-receiver lives! Or use one of the nicest pages from your 2009 calendar:

Cool, right?
Get creative, we say! You can consider your gift-wrapping your Christmas present to the environment!
