Lily’s Lomo Tips!
In the generous, lomo-loving spirit of Lomovember, we’d like to share with you the winning lomo tip from our recent blog competition. The delightfully clever Lily (who has been rewarded with a lovely lomo prize!) took out the competition with this doubly-helpful tip:
I like to put a layer of cellophane, either clear or slightly tinted (purple and green tints are my favourite) over my camera lens (I use the cheaper, crappy cellophane which isn’t particularly clear or smooth). It makes lit up objects glow really brightly and go a bit fuzzy around the edges (the cellophane must diffuse the light or something), while the background stays the same or takes on the tint of the cellophane.

Also, I am a part of one of the Australian Yahoo Freecycle groups (where people advertise stuff they’re going to give away or put wanted ads up). It’s a great place to source expired film from people who are going to end up throwing the stuff out anyway!
Thanks Lily!
