the lomovember players: fisheye and fisheye 2!
Today we’d like you to meet the darling pets of the lomo family: the very fun (and sometimes quite funny) Fisheye and Fisheye 2!

Fisheye camera, $90

Fisheye 2 camera, $160
The Lo-Down: The Fisheye and Fisheye 2 are 35mm cameras with built-in ‘fisheye’ lenses. The cameras have a super-wide (170-degree) view, which means your photo subject is compacted into a very neat, circular image!

The Fisheyes give sharp, clear pictures even up close: in fact, it’s suggested you get right up to your subject’s nose to get the coolest distortion effects:

Because of the camera’s super-wide depth of field, both the foreground and background of your shot will be in total focus. The cameras’ premium glass lenses make for bright colours and sweet contrast and the Fisheyes also have a built-in electronic flash, so they can be used day or night!

Now, there are some important differences between the Fisheye and the Fisheye 2. Whilst sharing the same awesome wide-angle view and fisheye barrel distortion as the Fisheye, the Fisheye 2 also features a bulb setting for long exposures, a switch for multiple exposures on the same frame, the ability to fire both a hotshoe flash and the built-in flash AND a true fisheye viewfinder. Excellent.
Lomo-experts Tip: To get a truly fishy Fisheye experience, get your hands on the Fisheye Submarine underwater casing, which allows you to get up to 20m below the water’s surface. Then you’ll be able to start shooting away in the fishes’ natural habitat, which can yield some very cool photos:

Neat! Both the Fisheye and Fisheye 2 cameras are available in a range of colours from both Pigeonhole stores.
